Barrington purple

Diffusion Fabricbarring/fa1/dam

Barrington Purple shows a softly tonal botanical motif with oversized leaf forms in misty lilac, grey-violet and pale silver shades. The design reads airy and refined on the light ground, with the woven texture giving the leaves a gentle, almost etched appearance.

About this fabric

This Barrington colourway is a mid-weight decorative fabric from the Diffusion collection by Voyage Maison, composed of 45% viscose, 25% polyester, 20% cotton and 10% linen. It is suitable for curtains, blinds and soft furnishings, with a usable width of 140cm and a horizontal pattern repeat of 70cm and vertical repeat of 64.5cm. The palette is deliberately quiet: soft purple, dove grey and pale taupe sit against a warm ivory base, so the large leaf motif feels calm rather than vivid. Dry clean only and iron safe, it is best suited to interiors where the subtle sheen and crisp motif can be appreciated in daylight.

How to use it

Use it for full-length curtains or Roman blinds where the large leaves can breathe across the width. The cool lilac ground works especially well with pale oak, putty walls and brushed nickel details.

Pair with pale woods and muted metallics to keep the lilac tones fresh and elegant.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
