Barrington orange

Diffusion Fabricbarring/fa1/rus

Barrington Orange pairs a soft, linen-look ground with large stylised leaf motifs in coral orange and muted grey. The palette feels fresh and airy, with the warm orange bringing the design forward against the pale background.

About this fabric

This fabric is supplied as a textile, not wallpaper, with a 140cm width, 70cm horizontal repeat and 64.5cm vertical repeat. The composition blends 45% viscose, 25% polyester, 20% cotton and 10% linen, which suits the gently textured, cloth-like handle visible in the image. Barrington Orange is dry clean only and iron safe, and the pattern reads as oversized leaf forms in coral orange, soft grey and pale cream. The colourway has a light, sun-warmed energy rather than a deep terracotta tone, so the motif feels cheerful and open across curtains, blinds and soft furnishings.

How to use it

Use Barrington Orange where you want the pattern to lift a room without overwhelming it: the pale ground and coral leaves work well in light-filled schemes. It sits neatly with bleached wood, chalky neutrals and brushed grey metals.

Use with pale linens and soft greys to let the coral motif stay bright and fresh.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Barrington orange without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
