Honister orange

Countryimpressions Fabrichoniste/fa1/rus

Honister Orange brings a painterly cascade of botanical leaves to a softly mottled ground, with coral, apricot and rust notes lifting the design. The overall effect is warm and fresh rather than brash, with the orange accents sitting comfortably against muted sage and blue-green tones.

About this fabric

Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, this 230gsm fabric has enough substance for curtains, blinds and soft furnishings while still keeping a relaxed drape. The visible print is a large-scale leaf design, with feathery fronds in warm coral orange, blush, olive and soft teal scattered across a pale, clouded background. In this colourway the orange reads as sun-warmed coral rather than a sharp tangerine, so the pattern feels airy and decorative rather than heavy. The design has a generous 70cm horizontal repeat and 95cm vertical repeat, which suits statement window treatments and larger upholstered accents. Dry clean only and cool iron.

How to use it

Pair this warm orange version with pale timber, linen neutrals and softly painted greens to echo its botanical palette. It works especially well in a room that needs a lively but natural focal point, such as full-length curtains or a relaxed blind.

Use it where you want a lively statement with a soft, painterly feel.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
