Countryhedgerow purple

Countryhedgerow Fabriccountry/fa1/blo

Countryhedgerow Purple is a painterly botanical fabric with delicate stems, seedheads and rounded foliage set against a light ground. The lilac and mauve accents give the design a soft, airy feel rather than a heavy floral look.

About this fabric

Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, this 230gsm fabric has the substance to hang well for curtains and blinds while still feeling gentle and relaxed. The visible cloth has a natural, lightly textured finish that suits the watercolour-style motif, allowing the purple stems, muted sage leaves and pale blossom shapes to read clearly. A horizontal pattern repeat of 68cm and vertical repeat of 53cm give the design plenty of room to show its full garden-inspired scatter. It is suitable for curtains, blinds and soft furnishings, and should be dry cleaned only; it is also Iron Safe.

How to use it

Use it where you want a fresh, country-inspired scheme with a little colour lift, especially against limewashed walls or pale oak. The soft purple notes work well with blush, sage and grey upholstery nearby.

Pairs beautifully with chalky neutrals and weathered timber for a calm country scheme.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Countryhedgerow purple without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
