Brympton purple
Diffusion Fabricbrympto/fa1/duc
Brympton Purple shows a painterly spray of leaves in lilac, violet and blue on a pale ground, with the motif floating softly across the cloth. The overall effect is airy and watercolour-led rather than bold or dense.

About this fabric
Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, this fabric has the natural, lightly textured look you can see in the ground cloth, with a soft handle suited to drapery and soft furnishings. The visible leaf pattern combines washed purples, blue-greys, blush pinks and the occasional fresh green accent, giving the colourway a cool, romantic feel. At 230gsm, it has enough body for curtains and blinds while still reading as fluid and decorative. The pattern repeat is 35cm horizontally and 46.8cm vertically, helping the trailing botanical design settle into a considered, all-over rhythm. It is dry clean only and iron safe, with a usable width of 140cm and a total width of 145cm.
How to use it
Use it for full-length curtains or Roman blinds where the lilac and violet leaves can catch the light against a pale wall. It also makes elegant cushions on a neutral sofa, especially alongside soft greys, chalk whites or muted green accents.
A painterly botanical that works beautifully as airy curtains or statement soft furnishings.

Pairs well with
A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Brympton purple without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
