Quinton Old Blue

Kelsea FabricF4672-01

Quinton Old Blue has a calm, weathered look, with narrow horizontal striations that give the surface a linen-rich, softly brushed character. The colour reads as a pale, misty blue-grey rather than a strong blue, which keeps it light and understated.

About this fabric

Woven in a blend of 78% linen, 14% viscose, 5% polyester and 3% acrylic, this fabric has the natural slub and lightly irregular texture you can see across the swatch. The repeat is a vertical 5cm approx with no horizontal repeat, so the effect stays restrained and easy to live with. At 140cm approx wide, Quinton Old Blue is practical for both made-up curtains and lighter upholstery pieces. The pale blue ground is cooled further by chalky grey notes, giving it a gentle, airy finish that catches the light without looking bright.

How to use it

Use Old Blue where you want colour without heaviness: it sits well with white-painted woods, pale oak and soft stone tones. It would also make a fresh backdrop for tailored cushions, relaxed drapes or a compact accent chair.

A quietly textured blue that works beautifully across cushions, blinds and easy upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
