About this fabric

This colourway reads as a restrained vintage blue with a grey cast, so the pattern feels calm rather than crisp. The woven herringbone check is fine and regular, with just enough texture to catch the light across the face of the cloth. Made in a composition of 51% Linen, 32% Viscose, 9% Cotton and 8% Polyester, it has the natural appeal of linen with a smoother, more controlled finish. The fabric is approximately 147cm wide, with a horizontal repeat of about 3cm and no vertical repeat, making the design easy to plan for upholstery or drapery use. The overall effect is smart and understated, with a slightly weathered depth that suits a classic interior.

How to use it

Use it on a tailored armchair, banquette or curtains where the cool blue-grey will settle comfortably against oak, chalk white or aged brass. Its compact check works especially well in rooms that need pattern without strong contrast.

A cool, quietly tailored blue that works well across seating and curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
