Capella Aqua

Gustav FabricJ785F-04

Capella Aqua has a calm, softly weathered teal-aqua appearance with a fine woven texture that gives the surface quiet movement. The colour reads cool and muted, with a gently lifted chalky edge rather than a bright seaside blue.

About this fabric

This fabric from the Gustav collection by Jane Churchill is composed of 56% viscose, 25% polyester and 19% cotton, with a width of approximately 136cm and a repeat of V 19cm / H 17cm approx. The swatch shows a small-scale, all-over textured weave that creates a subtle ripple across the surface. Capella Aqua sits between green and blue, with a softened grey cast that keeps it restful and easy to live with. Its smart, gently tactile finish makes it suitable for both upholstery and drapery, depending on the project and lining.

How to use it

Use this aqua-teal shade on an occasional chair, headboard or relaxed curtains where you want colour without brightness. It pairs especially well with pale oak, stone, parchment and darker marine accents.

A cool aqua tone that lifts wood, linen and pale neutrals beautifully.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
