About this fabric
Kilver Slate from the Gloriana collection by Jane Churchill is a patterned fabric with a repeat of approximately V 48cm and H 35cm, and a width of approximately 140cm. Its 60% linen, 30% cotton and 10% polyamide composition gives the cloth a natural, textured handle with a little extra stability. The colourway reads as a muted slate teal, lifted by small botanical motifs in blush pink, soft yellow, ivory and leaf green. The design feels orderly and decorative rather than busy, so the pattern remains readable even across larger upholstered pieces or curtains.
How to use it
Use this slate-teal colourway where you want pattern with a cooler, calmer note: it works particularly well with pale timber, chalky paint colours and brushed metal finishes. The softer, weathered blue-green ground also helps the lighter motif colours glow without becoming too bright.
