Buteo Aqua

Gustav FabricJ0212-06

Buteo Aqua has a softly mottled aqua-green surface with a fine woven texture that feels calm and understated. The small-scale pattern gives the colourway a restrained, tailored look rather than a bold statement.

About this fabric

This Gustav fabric is woven in a blend of 55% viscose, 33% polyester, 8% cotton and 4% linen, giving the surface a subtle mix of softness and structure. The colourway reads as a muted aqua with olive and grey undertones, so the pattern looks gently weathered rather than bright or seaside fresh. Its small repeat of approximately 7cm vertical and 6cm horizontal creates a compact, all-over rhythm that suits both upholstery and drapery. At approximately 138cm wide, it is a practical width for furniture covering and made-up soft furnishings alike. The finish in the swatch has a dry, lightly textured handle that helps the colour sit quietly in the light.

How to use it

Use Buteo Aqua on a slim sofa, dining chairs or tailored curtains where a soft green-blue note is wanted without too much contrast. It pairs especially well with pale oak, chalky neutrals and deeper moss or slate accents.

A quietly coloured textured weave that works well for tailored upholstery or refined curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
