Skylon Aqua

Gustav FabricJ0077-01

Skylon Aqua reads like a washed abstract, with layered aqua and teal brushwork broken by pale cream and soft grey highlights. The surface has a quietly textured, painterly movement that gives the design a cool, contemporary feel.

About this fabric

Skylon Aqua from the Gustav collection by Jane Churchill is a 140cm-wide fabric in 69% polyester, 30% viscose and 1% polyamide. The print shows a misty aqua ground with streaks of teal, chalky cream and weathered grey, giving the pattern a light, worn-in depth rather than a sharp contrast. Its repeat is a generous V 85cm / H 70cm approx, which suits the broad, expressive sweeps visible across the cloth. The overall effect is airy and softly layered, with the cooler blue-green notes keeping the design fresh.

How to use it

Pair this soft aqua colourway with pale oak, putty and brushed nickel for a calm, coastal scheme. It works particularly well where you want the pattern to feel painterly and spacious rather than bold.

Use it to bring a cool, painterly lift to upholstery or relaxed curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
