About this colour

This shade reads as a dark olive green softened by charcoal and taupe, so it feels warm rather than sharp. In north-facing rooms it can turn more shadowed and earthy, with the green subdued by the low light. In south-facing light it holds its depth but the warmer undertone comes forward, making the colour feel less stern and more mellow. Flat Matt gives it the most absorbing finish for walls, while Soft Sheen and Floor Paint suit trim, joinery, and floors where the colour can look a little more defined. It works well beside natural oak, dark walnut, off-white linens, mossy greens, and brown-leather upholstery.

How to use it

Use it in a sitting room, study, or hallway where you want the woodwork to feel calm and fitted in. It pairs well with biscuit, stone, ochre, and warm neutral upholstery or curtains.

A deep, earthy green that can make a room feel more enclosed and restful.
