Twilight Charcoal

Gustav FabricJ892F-02

Twilight Charcoal reads as a deep, cool charcoal with a fine peppered texture and a softly mottled surface. The small vertical flecks lighten the darkness of the ground, giving it a restrained, tailored character.

About this fabric

Twilight Charcoal from Jane Churchill’s Gustav collection is a 140cm approx wide fabric in 77% Polyester and 23% Viscose. The surface shows a dense charcoal ground broken by tiny pale, vertical dash marks that create a subtle streaked effect rather than a bold motif. In this colourway, the shade feels cool and urban, with just enough contrast in the weave to keep the cloth from looking flat. The repeat is V 26cm / H 35cm approx, and the overall effect is smart, understated and versatile. Care code Q 8 < T 3 and fire code K are supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use Twilight Charcoal for neat upholstery, paired with pale oak, plaster pink or brushed metal to lift the dark ground. It also makes a strong, subdued drapery choice where the small-scale texture can add depth without dominating the room.

A refined charcoal that works well on tailored seating or quietly luxurious curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
