About this fabric

This 100% cotton fabric has a small check repeat of approximately 5cm vertically and horizontally, giving the pattern a regular, close-set rhythm across the cloth. The teal green lines read cool and slightly softened against the pale background, while the red threads add a restrained warm accent that keeps the check from feeling flat. At approximately 135cm wide, it is a practical furnishing cloth for tailored schemes, and the C 8 + T 3 care code and √BM fire code are supplied for specification. The visible weave looks smooth and closely woven, with enough structure for upholstery yet a light enough character to suit curtains as well.

How to use it

Use this colourway where you want a fresh, slightly nostalgic check with a clean finish: upholstered dining chairs, cushion covers or Roman blinds. It sits especially well with painted timber, off-white walls and simple red or green accents.

A crisp, country-leaning check that works beautifully on small upholstery pieces or classic curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Barlow Check Teal/Red without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
