Ellis in Cobalt Blue is a crisp, finely striped fabric with a cool, tailored look. The narrow vertical lines give the swatch a clean rhythm and a distinctly sharp blue-and-white feel.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% cotton and measuring approximately 135cm wide, Ellis has a neat, lightweight appearance that suits both soft furnishing and light upholstery applications. The stripe repeat is a very small vertical 0cm by 1cm approx, creating a precise pinstripe effect across the cloth. This Cobalt Blue colourway reads as a clear, cool blue with a pale ground, so the contrast feels fresh rather than heavy. The surface looks smooth and close-woven, with enough structure to keep the stripe definition crisp. Care code C 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use this blue-and-white stripe to sharpen a bedroom scheme, a study chair or relaxed café seating. It works especially well with white paint, pale oak and deeper navy accents for a nautical but not overtly themed finish.

The crisp pinstripe brings a fresh, tailored feel to seats, cushions or blinds.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
