Waltham Shell

Essential Weaves Vol 2 FabricEWV2WALTHAM

Waltham Shell has a delicate shell-pink ground with a fine, twig-like textured pattern that catches the light softly. Its surface reads airy and subtle rather than bold, giving the design a calm, gently layered look.

About this fabric

Part of Ashley Wilde’s Essential Weaves Vol 2, Waltham Shell is a 100% polyester fabric made in India and supplied as drapes only. The cloth is 140cm wide and has a substantial handle at 357 grams per linear metre, with a 255 grams per square metre weight. Visually, the colourway is a muted blush-shell pink with a pale, chalky sheen on the raised texture, so the branching motif stands out in a quiet, almost frosted way. The 25cm vertical repeat and 24cm horizontal repeat create a regular, organic rhythm across the surface. Rub test results are not noted, which reinforces its specification as a decorative drapery textile rather than an upholstery cloth.

How to use it

Use this soft shell pink to bring warmth to neutral interiors, especially where you want the window treatment to feel light but still dressed. It pairs well with cream, pale oak and brushed brass for a calm, refined finish.

A gentle shell pink weave that adds warmth and softness to a room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
