Lanark Amethyst

Essential Weaves Vol 2 FabricEWV2LANARK

Lanark Amethyst pairs a finely drawn geometric with a softly muted amethyst ground, giving the swatch a calm, tailored look. The small-scale lattice sits neatly across the surface, creating subtle movement rather than bold contrast.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% polyester and specified for drapes only, Lanark Amethyst has a considered, medium-weight handle at 255gsm and a 140cm width. The 4cm vertical and horizontal repeat keeps the abstract geometric compact and orderly, so the pattern reads as texture first and motif second. In this colourway, the purple tone is dusted and cool rather than bright, with a slightly smoky depth that softens the sharpness of the linework. The effect is smart and restrained, with enough pattern to lift a plain interior without demanding attention.

How to use it

Use it for tailored curtains or Roman blinds where the muted amethyst will add atmosphere without feeling heavy. It works especially well with pale stone, soft grey, or warm timber finishes.

A refined small-scale geometric that adds depth without overpowering a room.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Lanark Amethyst without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
