Essential Weaves Vol 2 FabricEWV2KINVER

Kinver Ice shows a fine, small-scale geometric weave in a pale, icy blue that reads cool and quietly crisp. The pattern sits close to the surface, giving the swatch a subtle texture rather than a bold graphic look.

About this fabric

From Ashley Wilde’s Essential Weaves Vol 2, Kinver Ice is a 100% polyester fabric made for drapes only. The colour is a soft, frosted blue with a restrained grey cast, so it feels fresh without becoming bright or coastal. Its small geometric / abstract pattern is neatly drawn and low-contrast, with the woven lines only becoming more apparent as the light moves across the surface. At 140cm wide and 226gsm, it has enough substance for a clean curtain hang while still looking light and refined. The 3cm vertical repeat and 4cm horizontal repeat keep the motif compact and orderly.

How to use it

Use this pale blue colourway for tailored curtains in bedrooms, studies, or calm living spaces where a cool, airy tone is wanted. It pairs well with white painted woodwork, pale oak, and darker navy accents for a sharper contrast.

A cool, understated weave that brings a crisp, airy finish to window dressings.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
