Eldon Amethyst

Essential Weaves Vol 2 FabricEWV2ELDON

Eldon in Amethyst is a softly muted purple with a calm, tailored feel and a fine woven surface that catches the light gently. The tiny repeated pattern gives the fabric quiet movement without interrupting the overall tonal finish.

About this fabric

Woven from 70% polyester and 30% cotton, this Ashley Wilde fabric is supplied as drapes only and has a width of 140cm, with a weight of 337gsm. The small-scale design and 2cm vertical and horizontal pattern repeat create a neat, disciplined surface that reads as textured rather than busy. In this colourway, the amethyst shade sits in a greyed, smoky purple family, so it feels more sophisticated than vivid, with a low-key sheen across the weave. With no rub test noted, it is catalogued for window use rather than upholstery.

How to use it

Use Eldon Amethyst for full-length curtains, relaxed Roman blinds or layered sheers where the soft purple tone can settle into the room. It works especially well with stone, dove grey and muted metallic accents.

Pair with pale oak, taupe linens or brushed brass for a calm, tailored scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
