About this fabric

From Ashley Wilde's Essential Weaves Vol 1, Furley Taupe is a 100% polyester fabric designed for light domestic upholstery and drapes. The woven surface shows a dense scatter of small, irregular light marks over a warm taupe base, creating a subtle textured appearance rather than a bold pattern. At 140cm wide and rated to 18,000 light domestic rubs, it is a practical mid-weight choice for everyday interiors. Its 336 grams per linear metre construction gives it enough substance to sit neatly on cushions and upholstered pieces, while still working well at the window. The overall impression is muted, warm and softly tonal, with the speckled finish adding depth without taking over a scheme.

How to use it

Use this taupe colourway to soften oak, plaster pinks and stone neutrals, where its warm undertone can bridge cooler and warmer finishes. It suits tailored loose covers, neat blinds and relaxed curtains when you want texture without strong contrast.
