Furley Platinum

Essential Weaves Vol 1 FabricEWV1FURLEY

Furley Platinum is a cool, softly metallic-looking grey with a fine all-over textured surface. The tiny speckled weave gives the cloth a quietly layered finish rather than a flat solid.

About this fabric

From Ashley Wilde’s Essential Weaves Vol 1, Furley Platinum is woven in 100% polyester and designed for light domestic upholstery and drapes. The fabric has a small-scale texture with a neat 16.5cm vertical repeat and 12cm horizontal repeat, creating a subtle, evenly patterned surface. At 140cm wide and 336 grams per linear metre, it has enough substance to hold its shape while still feeling adaptable for softer furnishings. The platinum tone reads as a cool, pale grey with a gently mottled finish that catches the light softly without looking shiny. Its 18,000 light domestic rub test supports everyday use in lower-traffic seating or relaxed window dressing.

How to use it

Use Furley Platinum where you want a crisp neutral with a cooler edge, especially against white paintwork, oak, or brushed nickel. Its pale grey texture works well in calm contemporary schemes and helps soften sharper architectural lines.

A cool platinum neutral that works cleanly across tailored upholstery and understated drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
