About this fabric

Part of Ashley Wilde’s Essential Weaves Vol 1 collection, this fabric is composed of 100% polyester and is specified for drapes only. The swatch shows a fine small-scale stripe effect with a subtle waved line, creating a restrained, almost textured look rather than a bold graphic contrast. At 140cm wide and with a weight of 270gsm / 378g per linear metre, it should hang with a pleasing amount of body while remaining suitable for curtain-making. The taupe colourway is warm and muted, sitting between beige and grey so it feels versatile and quiet rather than sharp. There is no rub test noted, which aligns with its drapery-led use rather than seating upholstery.

How to use it

Use this taupe to soften contemporary schemes, especially alongside oak, linen and warm stone finishes. Its gentle stripe adds interest to plain walls without competing with patterned cushions or heavier drapery layers.
