Furley Mole

Essential Weaves Vol 1 FabricEWV1FURLEY

Furley Mole is a quietly textured taupe weave with a dry, gently mottled surface and a low-key, even finish. The mole brown-grey tone reads warm and grounded, with tiny flecks catching the light across the cloth.

About this fabric

Part of Ashley Wilde’s Essential Weaves Vol 1 collection, Furley Mole is woven in 100% polyester and supplied for light domestic upholstery and drapes. The fabric measures 140cm wide and carries an 18,000 light domestic rub test, making it a useful choice where a neat tailored look and moderate durability are needed. Visually, the surface has a small-scale textural effect with closely packed raised specks that soften the colour into a warm taupe-brown. The 336 grams per linear metre handle and 240 grams per square metre weight suggest a substantial mid-weight cloth rather than a flimsy drape.

How to use it

Use Furley Mole on a slim armchair, bench cushion or Roman blind when you want a muted neutral that still has surface interest. Its warm mole tone pairs neatly with oak, linen whites and deeper chocolate accents.

A practical neutral with enough texture to add depth without dominating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
