About this fabric

From Colefax and Fowler’s Dante Velvet collection, this colourway is a 100% cotton velvet with no visible repeat, making the focus fall entirely on its tonal depth and plush texture. The 140cm approximate width gives a practical upholstery scale, while the colour sits between brick and burnished brown, with a sienna warmth that becomes darker in the shadows. Under light, the pile lifts to reveal subtle red-earth notes rather than a flat brown, which adds richness to the cloth. Care code Q 8 < T 3 and fire code √CM are supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use Dante Sienna on a shaped armchair, banquette or headboard where the warm, grounded colour can take centre stage. It pairs well with aged brass, walnut and creamy neutrals, especially in rooms that need a deeper, more enveloping accent.

The warm, low-sheen sienna works beautifully on tailored seating and grounded accent pieces.
