Lowick Plaid Tomato/Green
Fen Wools FabricF4628-03
Lowick Plaid Tomato/Green is a confident checked wool with a warm tomato-red ground and muted green crossing stripes. The plaid reads rustic and characterful, with a woven surface that feels substantial rather than crisp.

About this fabric
Woven in 100% wool, this fabric has a classic checked layout with an approximate vertical repeat of 22cm and horizontal repeat of 20cm, and a width of about 145cm. The tomato-red blocks are softened by earthy olive and sage-toned lines, giving the pattern a grounded, autumnal warmth rather than a bright country check. Its visible weave has a dry, tailored texture that suits seating well, while the square grid keeps the design orderly and easy to balance in a room. The overall effect is warm, traditional and slightly worn-in, with the green threadwork tempering the red so it never feels too sharp.
How to use it
Use it on an armchair, bench seat or loose cover where the plaid can be seen at full scale. It works especially well with weathered wood, tan leather and cream paint, letting the tomato and green tones add depth without overpowering the room.
Pair with aged oak and soft neutrals for a warm, country-house feel.

Pairs well with
Lowick Plaid Tomato/Green is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
