Dante Silverleaf

Dante Velvet VelvetF4797-10

Dante Silverleaf is a quietly sophisticated velvet with a cool, muted green cast and a soft silvered depth across the pile. The swatch reads smooth and even, with the light catching just enough to give it a restrained, elegant sheen.

About this fabric

Part of the Dante Velvet collection by Colefax and Fowler, this colourway is woven in 100% cotton and has no visible repeat, giving it a clean, uninterrupted finish. The 140cm approx width makes it practical for a wide range of interiors, while the velvet pile adds a tactile, plush surface. Visually, Silverleaf sits between sage and olive, but the tone is cooler and more subdued than a typical green, with a gentle greyed sheen that softens the colour. The result is a polished velvet that feels composed rather than flashy, with a depth that changes subtly as the nap catches the light.

How to use it

Use this silver-green velvet on a pared-back armchair, banquette or headboard where its cool tone can provide quiet contrast. It also layers well with stone, oak and pale brass, especially in rooms that need a calm, tailored finish.

A refined, cool green that works beautifully on tailored seating or layered cushions.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
