Cristabel FabricF4777-01

About this fabric
From the Cristabel collection by Colefax and Fowler, this fabric is woven in a 60% linen, 30% cotton and 10% polyamide blend with a width of approximately 138cm and a repeat of roughly 55cm vertical by 69cm horizontal. The floral drawing is large in scale, with scattered tulip-like heads and trailing leaves that read clearly across the cloth. In this colourway, the red tones feel bright and saturated rather than dark or rustic, while the forest green stems keep the pattern anchored and fresh. The cream ground softens the contrast, so the overall effect is lively without becoming harsh. With no performance features noted and a textile handle suited to both furnishing and window use, it sits comfortably in polished decorative schemes.
How to use it
Use it for statement curtains, a relaxed armchair or a bed valance where the tomato-red flowers can carry the room. It works especially well with painted woodwork, warm neutrals and muted greens that echo the foliage.
Fresh but grounded, this painterly floral lifts country and classic interiors alike.

Pairs well with
A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Primavera Tomato/Forest without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
