About this fabric

The image shows an irregular, nubby weave rather than a printed motif, with small flecks breaking up the red across the surface. Scarlet highlights sit alongside deeper crimson and wine-toned areas, giving the colourway noticeable depth. Taupe and dark grey-brown threads add a gently weathered contrast without taking attention away from the red base. Catalogued as a fabric, this Wemyss textile has a relaxed, tactile appearance suited to upholstery-led schemes.

How to use it

Use the warm strawberry-red ground on a statement chair, footstool or occasional sofa, balancing it with dark wood, aged brass and quiet taupe upholstery accents. Its flecked surface also works well with patterned cushions that pick up the darker threads.
