Jura Red

Chester FabricF4853-02

Jura Red shows the Chester weave in a warm, earthy red with a soft, melange effect across the surface. The close texture gives the colour a grounded, tactile look rather than a flat solid.

About this fabric

This fabric is a 145cm approx wide textile with no repeat, so the interest comes from the woven surface rather than a motif. Its 39% viscose and 33% linen content gives the cloth a dry-lustre, lightly slubbed finish, while the polyester, cotton and polyacrylic add body and stability. In Jura Red, the colour reads as a burnt terracotta red with russet and brick notes, softened by tiny lighter flecks that break up the tone. The result feels rich but not glossy, with enough texture to keep the shade from looking too heavy.

How to use it

Use Jura Red to bring warmth to a tailored armchair, banquette or cushion scheme, especially alongside natural oak, tan leather or muted stone. The earthy red tone also sits well with linen drapery in oatmeal or soft taupe for a balanced room.

A warm, grounded red that works beautifully across tailored upholstery and soft furnishings.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
