About this fabric

Heatherley Red from the Chilgrove collection by Colefax and Fowler is a printed fabric with a wide repeat of V 76cm / H 64cm approx and a width of 128cm approx. The composition is 30% Linen, 24% Cotton, 22% Acrylic, 22% Viscose, 2% Polyester, which suits the slightly slubby, natural-looking handle visible in the swatch. This colourway reads as a warm coral red rather than a bright primary red, so the trailing floral motif feels fresher and more relaxed than formal. Cream blossoms, pale green leaves and touches of soft blue-green soften the ground and give the design a layered, slightly painterly finish. With no performance features noted, it is best chosen for decorative schemes where pattern and colour are the focus.

How to use it

Use Heatherley Red to bring warmth to a drawing room or bedroom, especially with timber, aged brass or painted cream furniture. Its coral ground and soft botanical palette work particularly well alongside muted greens, pale neutrals and warm stone.
