About this fabric
This Marquis Blue colourway from the Chilgrove collection is woven in 59% Linen, 24% Polyester and 17% Cotton, giving the design a cloth-like handle with a crisp decorative surface. The large-scale repeat of approximately V 76cm / H 63cm and the width of approximately 126cm make it suitable for broad runs where the pattern can breathe. Visually, the ground reads as a clear ivory rather than a stark white, which lets the pale beige stems and cooler blue embroidery stand out without feeling heavy. Small green and tan details soften the blues and give the floral medallions a slightly antique, handworked character. The Q 8 + T 3 care code and √BM fire code are supplied for this exact fabric.
How to use it
Its cool blue embroidery works well against painted wood, pale oak and brushed metal, especially where you want a smarter, light-filled scheme. Use it on curtains or upholstered accent pieces to bring pattern without darkening the room.
Use it for curtains or statement upholstery where the airy ivory ground can keep the blue embroidery feeling fresh.

Pairs well with
A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Marquis Blue without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
