About this fabric

Heatherley Red/Green from the Chilgrove collection by Colefax and Fowler is a patterned fabric with a generous vertical repeat of approximately 76cm and a width of approximately 128cm. The composition is 30% Linen, 24% Cotton, 22% Acrylic, 22% Viscose and 2% Polyester, which suits the slightly dry, softly handled look visible in the swatch. In this colourway, the ground reads as a gentle cream, while the hanging floral clusters move between raspberry red, coral pink and touches of mustard yellow, with pale teal and leaf-green stems cooling the overall effect. The print has an airy spacing rather than a dense all-over fill, so the design feels decorative without becoming heavy. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

The soft cream ground and fresh greens work well with painted wood, cane and pale oak, while the red clusters add a lively note against linen upholstery. It is especially effective in rooms that need pattern height without darkening the space.

Use it for statement curtains or tailored upholstery where the leafy red clusters can breathe.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
