About this fabric

This heavy 486gsm fabric has the substantial presence expected of an upholstery cloth, while its velvety pile catches the light in softly brushed bands across the burgundy ground. The colour reads as deep and warm rather than bright red, with darker plum-like shading in the recessed areas and a subtle glow on raised nap. It is supplied at a 140cm usable width and has a dense specification of 85 threads per cm. With no vertical or horizontal pattern repeat, the plain surface can be positioned without matching a motif.

How to use it

Use Curzon Burgundy on a statement sofa, armchair or headboard where its wine-red depth can anchor a room. Pair it with aged timber, antique brass and muted blush or tobacco accents to draw out the warmer highlights in the nap.

Use this deep burgundy velvet-like plain to bring rich colour and tactile depth to upholstery, especially in rooms with darker, elegant schemes.
