Curzon Antelope

Luxury Plains FabricZOF0007-14

Curzon Antelope is a warm taupe plain with the softly animal-toned depth suggested by its name. In the close-up, fine vertical undulations and scattered lighter flecks give the surface a tactile, gently weathered character.

About this fabric

This substantial Zoffany fabric weighs 486 gsm and has a dense count of 85 threads per centimetre, supporting its upholstery classification. The 140 cm usable width and 25 m standard length make it practical for larger upholstery projects. With no pattern repeat in either direction, the softly ridged surface can be positioned freely, while the muted antelope taupe keeps the overall effect calm and earthy. Light catches the raised weave unevenly, revealing pale flecks and tonal variation rather than a flat, uniform plain.

How to use it

Pair Curzon Antelope with warm ivory, aged timber and brushed bronze for a quietly refined room. Its camel-taupe cast also works well against charcoal or deep olive, where the fine surface texture becomes more apparent.

Use this warm, textured taupe on upholstery where its substantial handle and softly mottled surface can add quiet depth.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
