About this fabric

This plain velvet has a substantial 420 gsm weight and a 144 cm usable width, making it particularly well suited to upholstery. The close surface reads as a fine, even nap rather than a visible motif, with 71 threads per cm contributing to its dense appearance. Its blue-grey tone is muted and atmospheric, sitting between slate blue and softened teal-grey as the light moves across the folds. With a 0 cm vertical and horizontal pattern repeat, it presents as a continuous plain surface.

How to use it

Use this cool slate blue-grey on a deeply upholstered armchair, sofa or headboard, where the velvet’s directional sheen can emphasise the form. Pair it with chalky whites, weathered timber and soft grey-blue accents for a calm, quietly luxe scheme.
