Cracked Earth Gobi

Oblique Wallpapers WallpaperZOW0029-01

Cracked Earth Gobi has a muted mushroom-taupe ground traced with a dense network of fine, darker fissure lines. The close-set pattern gives the surface a softly weathered, mineral quality without introducing a strong directional motif.

About this fabric

This Zoffany wallpaper combines a warm grey-brown taupe background with irregular charcoal-taupe lines that resemble naturally dried earth. The small-scale crackle drawing is distributed consistently across the image, creating visual texture while keeping the overall colourway calm and restrained. It has a 68.6 cm usable width, a 64 cm vertical pattern repeat and no horizontal repeat, with a standard length of 10.05 m. At 156 gsm, it is a lightweight wallpaper specification suited to covering walls rather than upholstery.

How to use it

Use Gobi across a full wall or quiet alcove where its mushroom-taupe tone can soften brighter woods, chalky paint and warm stone. Pair it with aged brass, dark timber or brown leather to pick up the subtle depth of its fine, darker crackle lines.

A softly weathered taupe ground and fine dark crackle lines bring understated depth to contemporary and rustic interiors.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Cracked Earth Gobi without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
