Curzon Charcoal

Luxury Plains FabricZOF0007-12

Curzon Charcoal is a cool, almost-black grey with a softly weathered surface. Fine vertical ridging is interrupted by cloudy silver-grey flecks, giving the dark ground visible depth as the light moves across it.

About this fabric

This 486gsm woven fabric has a substantial appearance, with closely spaced ribbing beneath irregular, pale charcoal mottling. The near-black tone absorbs light, while the raised threads and scattered lighter marks prevent the surface from appearing flat. With a 140cm usable width and no vertical or horizontal pattern repeat, it offers efficient cutting for upholstery projects. The standard length is 25m, and the cloth is woven at 85 threads per cm.

How to use it

Use Curzon Charcoal on a structured sofa, dining chair or ottoman where its cool, deep grey can anchor a room. Balance the dark tone with pale timber, warm metal or softly coloured textiles so the fine ribbed texture remains visible.

A substantial charcoal weave with fine ribbing and softly mottled lighter marks for tailored upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
