Arion Fossil

Kensington Walk Fabrics FabricZOF0168-01

Arion Fossil pairs a soft fossil-taupe ground with delicate charcoal-grey line drawings of horses and equestrian figures. The restrained contrast gives the repeating design a calm, lightly sketched character.

About this fabric

Fine, expressive horse motifs are scattered across the muted taupe background, with the darker outlines catching the eye without making the colourway feel busy. The 343 gsm cloth has a substantial mid-weight presence, while its 178 threads per cm indicate a closely constructed surface. The design repeats over 74.5 cm vertically and 69 cm horizontally, giving the individual sketches room to remain distinct across the 136 cm usable width. Its softly weathered grey-beige tone reads cooler and more understated than a warm brown neutral.

How to use it

Use Arion Fossil on a tailored armchair, bench or full-length curtains where its cool taupe ground can sit comfortably with chalky whites, stone, charcoal and weathered timber. The fine horse sketches also suit a refined country or equestrian-inspired scheme without introducing a strong accent colour.

Use this quiet fossil-taupe ground and finely drawn horse motif for tailored upholstery, curtains or relaxed country-inspired rooms.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Arion Fossil without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
