Kanoko Charcoal

Kensington Walk Fabrics FabricZOF0058-02

Kanoko Charcoal combines a deep charcoal-brown ground with warm ivory geometric openings, creating a tightly repeated pattern of interlocking triangular forms. Fine linear texture within the dark bands gives the swatch a tactile, graphic quality.

About this fabric

The design is built from staggered, angular bands that frame irregular ivory triangular shapes across the cloth. In this colourway, the charcoal-brown lines feel muted and substantial against the softer ivory ground, giving the pattern depth without bright colour. The fabric weighs 287 gsm and has 67 threads per cm, while its 55 cm vertical and 69 cm horizontal pattern repeats keep the geometry clearly defined. A usable width of 139.5 cm provides generous coverage for upholstery or window treatments.

How to use it

Use Kanoko Charcoal where a room needs cool, structured contrast: it can sharpen an ivory sofa, complement dark timber, or add graphic definition to full-length curtains. Keep surrounding pieces quiet so the charcoal-and-ivory rhythm remains the focal point.

Use the deep charcoal-brown geometry to bring structured contrast to pale upholstery, curtains or cushions.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Kanoko Charcoal without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
