Kempshott Sunstone
Rare Textiles FabricZOF0081-01
Kempshott Sunstone is a richly textured Zoffany fabric filled with tightly repeated, undulating zigzags in warm coral, slate blue, taupe, cream and charcoal. The coral ground gives this colourway a noticeably warm, earthen character, while the cooler blue lines sharpen the pattern.

About this fabric
The dense surface has a tactile, irregular appearance, with serrated wave bands and fine vertical flecks creating considerable visual depth. A 29 cm vertical repeat and 33 cm horizontal repeat establish a medium-scale geometric rhythm across the cloth. At 750 gsm, with 139 threads per cm, it has the substantial presence expected of a heavy upholstery textile. The fabric has a 131 cm useable width and a standard length of 25 m.
How to use it
Pair the coral warmth of Sunstone with walnut, smoked oak or dark painted timber, then pick up its slate-blue accents in plain cushions or painted details. Its busy woven pattern is especially effective on a statement armchair, ottoman or compact sofa where the repeat can be appreciated.
Use this warm, intricately coloured weave to bring patterned depth to an upholstered chair, sofa or headboard.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Kempshott Sunstone without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
