Rare Textiles FabricZOF0162-01

Suzani Archive Embroidery Antique Gold/Ink is a richly layered textile of antique-gold paisleys, rounded floral forms and dark ink-blue outlines. Its weathered olive-brown depth gives the pattern an aged, collected character, while the surface catches the light across the detailed motifs.

About this fabric

The dense composition combines curling paisleys with small floral medallions, outlined in deep ink and set against a muted brown-olive ground. Antique gold is the dominant note, but the shaded, uneven-looking tonal variation keeps it from reading as bright or metallic. The substantial 606 gsm weight and finely detailed 68 threads per cm construction make this a strong upholstery choice for furniture that can carry an intricate pattern. It has a usable width of 128 cm, a standard length of 40 m, and a repeat measuring 46.5 cm vertically by 42.6 cm horizontally.

How to use it

Use this antique-gold and ink colourway on a reading chair, ottoman or statement sofa where its dark outlines and intricate scale can be seen at close range. Pair it with aged timber, warm brown leather and quiet olive or ink plain fabrics to draw out its subdued, timeworn palette.

Use this richly patterned antique-gold and ink textile to bring depth and historical character to upholstered seating.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Suzani Archive Embroidery Antique Gold/Ink without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
