Spitalfields Silk Tigers Eye

Phaedra Fabrics FabricZOF0073-01

Spitalfields Silk Tigers Eye pairs a warm ochre-gold ground with pale, intricately woven flowers, leaves and scrolling foliage. The tonal contrast is gentle rather than stark, giving the repeated damask pattern a softly illuminated appearance.

About this fabric

This 163 gsm fabric has a richly patterned surface, with large botanical blooms and smaller curling sprigs distributed across the design. Its warm Tigers Eye colouring sits between honeyed ochre and muted caramel, while the pale motifs catch the light against the deeper ground. The pattern repeats every 72.5 cm vertically and 70 cm horizontally, creating a considered medium-scale rhythm across the 140 cm usable width. With 133 threads per cm, the detailed floral drawing remains clearly defined without losing the tactile quality of the weave.

How to use it

Use this warm ochre-gold colourway to bring depth to a traditional armchair, headboard or full-length curtains, pairing it with chalky creams, aged wood and muted tan accents. The pale foliage can also soften darker brown or antique-brass schemes without introducing a bright contrast.

The warm ochre-gold ground and pale floral damask bring layered, softly luminous character to upholstery or curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Spitalfields Silk Tigers Eye without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
