Moleskin Velvet Gold

Moleskin Velvet Velvet010

Moleskin Velvet Gold is a plain velvet in a warm ochre-gold shade, with a soft, close pile that shifts gently between honeyed highlights and deeper amber shadows. Its broad folded surface shows the directional nap clearly, giving the colour subtle movement without a pattern.

About this fabric

The rich golden tone leans towards muted ochre rather than bright yellow, while the plush surface catches the light along the fold and settles into deeper bronze-brown shading in the nap. Made from 100% polyester and approximately 137cm wide, it is specified for fixed upholstery in Contract and General Domestic settings. The fabric should be allowed 3% shrinkage, with care listed as Delicate Wash at 30°C or Dry Clean; do not tumble dry. Its plain construction keeps the focus on the depth and changing sheen of this particular gold colourway.

How to use it

Pair this warm ochre-gold velvet with walnut, dark-stained timber or aged brass for a cosy, layered scheme, or use it on a single armchair to add a concentrated amber accent. Its muted depth also sits comfortably beside cream, tobacco and earthy brown tones.

Use this warm ochre-gold velvet to bring soft, understated richness to chairs, sofas and other upholstered pieces.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
