Serpentine Zinc brings a cool, stone-grey ground to a flowing serpentine design, with charcoal and near-black lines tracing irregular vertical movements across the cloth. Pale, clouded passages soften the darker contours and give the surface a mineral depth.

About this fabric

The pattern is visibly organic and marbled, with winding dark outlines, fine broken flecks and lighter grey channels that create a layered, almost geological effect. At 280 gsm with 128 threads per cm, this is a substantial mid-weight fabric suited to both upholstery and drapery applications. Its usable width is 139 cm, while the 62.5 cm vertical and 70 cm horizontal pattern repeats should be allowed for when matching the sinuous design. The cool zinc tone reads restrained rather than stark, with the charcoal tracery providing definition against the muted grey field.

How to use it

Use Serpentine Zinc on a statement chair, headboard or full-length curtains where its cool grey ground can sit alongside pale stone, smoked glass and charcoal accents. The vertically drifting motif works especially well when the design is allowed to remain the room’s main decorative surface.
