About this fabric

This Zoffany fabric has a usable width of 136 cm, a standard length of 50 m and a weight of 173 gsm, giving the cloth a relatively light, flowing character suited to drapery. Its 93 cm vertical repeat and 68 cm horizontal repeat set out the repeated floral medallions and ornate cream motifs with a clear, formal rhythm. The 399 threads-per-centimetre construction gives the gold ground a fine, closely woven appearance, while the pale pattern provides a gentle contrast rather than a sharp, high-saturation effect.

How to use it

Use this warm ochre-gold colourway for full-length curtains where its cream damask can catch the light against painted walls in ivory, putty or deep olive. The generous repeat is especially effective when the design is allowed to fall across broad, uninterrupted drops.

The warm Tigers Eye ground and pale scrolling damask suit full-length curtains in traditional or richly layered rooms.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Arabesque Silk Tigers Eye without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
