Islay Sea Glass

Performance Boucle FabricHAF0543-12

Islay Sea Glass is a muted sea-glass green boucle with a softly mottled surface and cool, mineral character. Its close, nubby texture gives the plain ground visible depth without introducing a separate motif.

About this fabric

This is a substantial 519gsm fabric with a densely textured, flecked weave that is well suited to upholstery. The colour sits between pale sage and weathered grey-green, with lighter and darker yarn movement catching across the surface rather than forming stripes or a repeat. At 84 threads per cm, the weave has a compact appearance, while the 138cm usable width offers practical coverage for furnishing work. Both the vertical and horizontal pattern repeats are 0cm, so the texture can be placed as an all-over ground without matching a design.

How to use it

Pair Islay Sea Glass with chalky whites, warm oak and pale stone for a calm, coastal-natural scheme, or use it to soften darker timber and charcoal accents. Its cool grey-green tone works particularly well on generous, informal seating where the boucle texture remains visible.

Use this weighty sea-glass boucle on relaxed upholstery where its softly flecked texture can add quiet depth.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
