Harlequin

Performance Velvets Mint

Performance Velvets Mint is a pale, cool mint green velvet with an uninterrupted surface and a softly reflective nap. The folded swatch shows gentle tonal variation as the plush pile catches the light.

About this fabric

This plain Harlequin velvet has a substantial 540gsm weight and a 141cm usable width, making it well suited to upholstery. Its soft mint green tone reads fresh and lightly muted rather than bright, with a cool cast that keeps the colour calm. The close, even pile appears smooth and plush, while the change in direction across the fold creates a subtle shift between lighter and deeper mint. There is no visible motif or pattern repeat, so the colour and tactile surface remain the focus.

How to use it

Pair this cool mint upholstery velvet with pale woods, warm whites or softly contrasting stone tones to balance its fresh green cast. It is especially effective on a statement armchair, headboard or gently shaped sofa where the nap can catch changing light.

Use this cool mint velvet to bring a soft, light-catching finish to upholstered seating and headboards.

Pairs well with

Performance Velvets Mint is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
