About this fabric
This Linwood velvet is woven in a durable mix of 60% polyester, 28% recycled polyester, 8% acrylic and 4% viscose, and it is suitable for both curtains and upholstery. The 137cm width and plain pattern make it straightforward to use, while the 100,000 Martindale rub test and contract/general domestic upholstery grade give it real practical strength. Visually, Watermelon sits between coral and pink, with a rosy warmth that feels brighter than a blush yet softer than a pure red. The velvet pile gives the colour a richer depth in shade and a slight sheen where the light moves across it.
How to use it
Use this shade to bring a soft pop of colour to an armchair, banquette, or full-length curtains. It works especially well with pale woods, warm whites and brushed brass, where its pink-coral tone feels inviting rather than sugary.
A bright, modern velvet that adds cheerful warmth without feeling overly sugary.

Pairs well with
Omega Velvet 4 Watermelon is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
