Omega Velvet 4 Ocean

Omega Velvet 4 Velvet088

Omega Velvet 4 Ocean is a rich, even teal velvet with a softly shaded surface that gives the colour real depth. The pile catches the light subtly, reading as dark green-blue rather than a bright jewel tone.

About this fabric

This plain velvet colourway has a smooth, close finish and a deep ocean-teal character that feels calm and substantial. It is made from 60% Polyester, 28% Recycled Polyester, 8% Acrylic and 4% Viscose, with a hard-wearing Martindale rub test of 100,000 and an upholstery grade suitable for both Contract and General Domestic use. At 137cm wide, it works well for fixed or loose cover upholstery as well as curtains, and the plain surface keeps the emphasis on the colour’s velvety depth. The fabric is FR rated to A, conforming to BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1, and it has practical care notes including stain resistance and wash care at 30°C.

How to use it

Use Ocean on a statement armchair, banquette or sofa where its dark blue-green tone can anchor the room. It pairs especially well with walnut, tan leather and brushed metal, or with pale stone and chalky off-whites for contrast.

Pair with warm oak, brass and soft neutrals to let the colour stay rich and tailored.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
