About this fabric

This colourway shows a strong blue-green teal with a slightly darker pile that gives the surface depth rather than brightness. As a velvet, it has the soft directional sheen you can see across the face of the cloth, while the plain finish keeps the look clean and versatile. It is woven in 60% Polyester, 28% Recycled Polyester, 8% Acrylic and 4% Viscose, with an approximate width of 137cm. With a Martindale rub test of 100,000 and upholstery grading for Contract and General Domestic use, it is well suited to hard-working seating as well as curtains and loose covers. It is also FR rated to BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1, and the care instructions include dry clean and washing with care at 30C.

How to use it

Use this deep teal on an occasional chair, banquette or ottoman where the colour can hold its own in natural light. It also makes a strong curtain choice for rooms that want a cooler, more tailored jewel tone.

A rich teal velvet that adds depth and polish to tailored seating or statement curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
